Hi, it's Nick Knightly here. You might be wondering - Why am I doing this?

Well, I'm just a pilot like you. I’m definitely no Chuck Yeager “Sky God” but I think I’m the kind of guy that a good company would want to hire. I mean, I can learn to fly anything with enough practice, I give 110% in effort, and I’m good company in the cockpit.

I must admit I got into flying for the "Romantic Aventure" ideal that I still believe it can be. I was the little kid who loved my airplane toys. I still remember my first trip to the airport when I got to see that amazing airliner cockpit and talk to the Captain. That guy was my hero! And I'll never forget my first flight lesson and the rush I felt when I pulled back on the yoke and left the ground. It still gets me every time! I find that we all have that sense of adventure stirring in our soul and I hope it never dissipates.

So a career as a professional pilot seemed like a great way to have a lot of fun and make a lot of money, while conveniently avoiding having to "work for a living" in an office like my parents did.

But when I finished flight school, I was in for a huge wake-up call!

I quickly realized that there was something the instructors didn't spend much time teaching me:

• How to get good flying work and STAY employed
• ALL of the employment possibilities that could be found - and specifically how to target each one
• The fastest way to that BIG salary

There were those “pay-to-play” regional airline programs. And I was told a lot of empty “predictions” about pilot shortages.

But in general, I can honestly say that my aviation education was severely incomplete without enough serious CAREER training.

Since I didn’t have any money to BUY a job, I went to work building flight time in whatever I could fly. For years, I made “baby-steps” - flying gradually bigger airplanes, making slightly more money each time. And I rationalizing my pathetic bank account by convincing myself I was just "paying-my-dues."

And some 7 YEARS LATER... There I was, still flying a propeller-driven airplane and not making any real progress. At the time, I THOUGH I was trying everything to break into the jet world.

I was going to job fairs, using pilot recruiting services, sending my resume all over the internet, even walking around the airport handing it out to people.

You name it, I tried it.

And all I got was a lot of frustration, and very little results.

The dream I had seemed so far away. And I was too old to be making so little income - with so much farther to go. My non-pilot friends had achieved so much more in their lives, and that was really embarrassing!

But then EVERYTHING changed…

After a run-in one day with a few very successful pilots that were kind enough to let me in on their secret, I had a moment of realization. I realize that there could be a way that I could go straight into the Dream Job that I really wanted -WAY FASTER than I ever could by using the "baby step method."

So I worked out a plan of action and went out the next day to see if it would work.

Admittedly, during the next few days, I made some mistakes and didn’t get any job offers. But I was able to quickly figure out what went wrong and "tweak" my strategy until...

SUCCESS!

Within 2 months, I was type rated and building time in the jet of MY CHOICE.

I had put into motion a chain of events that would quickly lead directly to my Dream Pilot Job.

Life became MUCH better. My pilot friends wanted "in" on my secret. And I was happy to help, of course. And by observing the difficulties that they encountered, creating solutions, as well as seeking the advice from industry experts and other successful pilots - I was able to develop a systematic approach that any pilot could duplicate to get their Dream Jobs too.

Since then, I have spent several YEARS testing my strategies with pilots from various locations and different levels of experience, in real life situations. I’ve learned how to optimize the process for peak effectiveness, and added extra material where necessary to keep ahead of the trends. And I got rid of any unnecessary steps in order to make it clear and easy to follow for any pilot, anywhere in the world, no matter how much experience he or she has.
